While I’ve kept my own long hair, I liked my appearance best when I still had a beard and mustache, both of which I lost in 2005 despite my best efforts. Unlike my hair my whiskers turned a discordant gray. I decided that either I’d dye them or they’d go. I hated the implied age-lie of dying, but decided it would be okay for the purpose of matching color.
