Instead of turning the thermostat down to 60° and wearing an extra layer of clothes, perhaps we should turn it down to 40° and electrify our socks and underwear. Alternatively, if tripping over our own cord becomes too much of a problem, we could electrify all of our seating. By electrifying our pipes to prevent freezing we could even go down to 20°.
