One day Dad gave Garry a working radio. Naturally he wanted to try something, so he removed the speaker from the unit and reconnected it with long wires. Now he could hear the sound from a remote location, say the other side of the room. For a while it worked, and he proudly showed off his accomplishment to whomever would show an interest.
