A solitary figure calmly watches a volcano erupt. This painting was never shown publicly because it was stolen from a Louisville, Kentucky gallery right after it was hung and prior to the official opening of the show (mid-February of 1988) only days after being completed and shipped. Despite the best efforts of police it has never been recovered.
