Composition-wise this is one of the most simple and straightforward of my nightscapes, with clean verticals and diagonals dividing areas of varying texture relieved by a modest detail or two. Yet it may be one of the more successful of my early works. For better or worse I would soon become considerably more meticulous and obsessive.
