The isolated protagonist is becoming a staple in scenes exacerbated by harsh incongruity. Here a massive but unsteady post-and-beam superstructure apparently serves no practical function. The glowing tower looks futuristic, yet the stone circle surrounding it appears ancient. The man reading at the table is complacently unfazed by his environment.
