Only the moon and Venus are visible in the sky, complementing the man and woman on the precipice. Here the moon, often taking the passive role to that of the sun, assumes the role of dominant to the more distant and barely visible Venus. Other than the couple on the cliff, no other people are visible, nor does it seem likely there are any within miles.
