PARAMETERS
 
Judging based on number-of-dimensions,
    only man’s first painting broke ground.
But by the other extreme, molecules,
    all paintings are new ideas.

A friend said, “Everything’s been done before.”
    “Not my work,” I told her,
though novelty alone is not enough.
    The best art sneaks up on you.
