The sign pointing to the monument has a black W in block style on a white circle over a red background. There are eight steps up to the pedestal, each representing a year. The pedestal has identical sides with large W’s and a door under each. The star in the lintel over each door represents the state of Texas. Within, there is apparently only blackness.
