Don't look for these trees in your nature guide— they are the Warren Farr species. There is quite a bit of texture and buildup in this painting, but in the case of the trees, roots, and waves it is laid and simply formed by brush rather than sculpted and slowly refined as in the mechanical girders of the last painting, so was not a time-killer.
