Inspired by memory of a childhood dream— riding in the family car, strange lights loom in the night; unlike in this depiction, the lights stretched across the entire sky (Car Series, Twilight is more accurate). Decide at this point to title all my paintings Nightscape so titles would be noncontributory, letting the image alone speak.
