I got out the pottery white spruce that
    I inherited from grandma,
while my dinky vinyl trailer-park tree
    spent Christmas alone in its box.

Why not free it from its attic crypt for
    a proper disposal?
No, if an earthquake makes ceramic and
    emerald sherd, it’s backup.
