MOUSETRAPS
 
The best ones can’t be set on the first try,
    but kill without asking questions.
Others while appearing identical
    usually give away their bait.

The trick is to first sensitize a trap.
    Then soon after it’s laid
you’ll hear the snap and sometimes a rattle,
    the throes of its occupant.
