Just as everyone in the painting is pushing a wheelbarrow, we all have stuff. Stuff isn’t necessarily bad of course— clothes and furniture are necessary tools for living, art and collections can impart enjoyment, and books can grant knowledge. The ownership of anything is a tradeoff— resources and attention the object commands versus its benefits.
