At least they weren’t scary— except for a few, the ones enchained in religious fundamentalism. One tormented soul dropped by not long after I moved in and bemoaned the fate of Sodom. He described what sodomy was and oh, did he want to do it, but even more than that he didn’t want to risk an eternity in hell. Yet there he was, already miserable as hell.
