Perhaps my favorite book on the subject of astrophysics is Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time. You might say that this painting is my tribute to him. Long after I finished it I heard that he disliked the famous cover photo upon which it’s based. Since I used so little of his actual picture though hopefully I left out whatever he didn’t like.
