This was my first nightscape on smooth hardboard, enabling a new level of detail and sculptural buidup. I was depicting an epiphany. The massive door of a vault resembling a temple is swaying open, waking the robed man. Light is streaming out of the partially-open door. In the distance is the skyline of a city. This painting was my first four-figure sale.
