Not counting Playing the Odds with its bizarre characters, this is my first effort to deal with relationships between people. Edward Hopper challenged us to explore subtle interactions by way of unusual, sometimes-unsettling placements and situations. Here I offer a man, woman, and child— perhaps a family group— and a wheel structure in the distance.
