On my first visit to New Orleans as a teenager with my family, one of the highlights of the trip was stopping in a coin shop and buying a Spanish Bust Dollar from the 1780’s. I snapped this picture on a more recent visit, occasioned by the opening of the ’95 Triennial. It’s a display in a window of a coin shop on Royal Street, taken from the sidewalk.
